• The operation is carried out in general anaesthesia.

• Skin incision is performed around the nipple-areola and vertically towards the inframammary crease.

• The aim of the operation is to move the nipple and areola upwards, so that the breast looks more compact. 

• After the operation the patient stays in the hospital overnight, under a nurse's care. 

• It is necessary to wear a special bra for 4-6 weeks after the operation.
