• Before the operation it is necessary to meet the surgeon and an anaesthetist in a personal consultation.

• Pre-operative preparations (taking medicines) last 3-5 days.  

• The operation is carried out in general anaesthesia. 

• Incision curves laterally around the mons pubis. 

• The operation consists in plastics of straight abdomen muscles, moving the navel, and removing the excess of skin and fat tissue situated under the navel. 

• The patients stays 1-2 days in the hospital under a nurse's care. 

• The sutures are removed on the 10th-14th day after the operation. 

• During the 4-6 weeks following the operation it is advised to avoid any effort.
